NORTH NAPLES. Alexander's, located in Park Square near some of the Naples area's finest resort hotels, boasts one of the town's most beloved chefs, Alex Bernard. The restaurant, whose union of American and European cuisines makes it a favorite with locals, offers diners a casual yet contemporary setting. Specialties include Chef Bernard's famous peppercorn tuna and snapper meunière. Salad and pasta dishes are also available. NORTH NAPLES. Bayside Seafood Grill and Bar is located at Venetian Bay. This festive restaurant offers patrons a casual dining setting with a few tables that overlook the nearby beach. Specialties here include their shrimp bisque, sautéed pistachio snapper, and oak-grilled mahi mahi. The downstairs café area serves sandwiches and salads. Bayside serves a Sunday brunch. Reservations are suggested.

NORTH NAPLES. Bha! Bha! is an upscale restaurant that is unique in the Naples area, for it specializes in Persian cuisine. The restaurant's interior is noteworthy for its traditional décor, which includes authentic Persian rugs and artwork. Chef Michael Muir wows patrons with such dishes as basmati rice and duck pomegranate. Be sure to save space for one of Bha! Bha!'s excellent homemade desserts. Al fresco dining is available.

OLDE NAPLES. This classy Third Street eatery, located in an old mercantile building, is popular in the Naples area. Inside, you'll find an inviting dining area, spacious bar area, and a large, open kitchen complete with a traditional wood-burning oven. The menu bears a definite Tuscan lilt, and Chef Wicklander offers such excellent dishes as baked snapper served with artichokes and potato purée and several homemade pasta dishes. Live entertainment is common here, and fountain-side al fresco seating is available.

OLDE NAPLES. First Watch Restaurant is located just west of the center of Olde Naples, near Lowdermilk Park. The restaurant serves better-than-average diner fare in an atmosphere that is reminiscent of a tearoom. This is a great place to visit for either breakfast or lunch. You have your choice of an omelet, soup and sandwich plate, bowl of fresh fruit, salad, or a burger. Al fresco dining is available.
